One in a Million! :)

Hi, everyone! I hope that you are all recovered from the Thanksgiving feast and Black Friday! :)

Just a quick project I made with our new Simple Sentiments stamp set. I found these golden dollar chocolate coins and thought of this stamp right away!

You can't tell but I used a Wobbles on the money bag - they are sooo stinkin' cute! I tried to film a video for you but I have an old camera and the video won't load. I think it's the wrong type and I'm too tired to research how to change it. LOL If you haven't checked out Wobbles yet I highly recommend that take a look at their facebook - they have links to other projects. You'll love them!! The money bag is cut at 2.5" from Smiley Cards - my 1st cut from this digital cart - Yay!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to have a few more things for you to take a peek at this week... maybe even a layout or two. :)

Oh, and a big THANK YOU to all that joined us for our Scrappy Moms Stamps Thankgiving special!

New Scrappy Moms Stamps Set - SIMPLE SENTIMENTS

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Thank you for joining me today - I know many of you are in full prep for Thanksgiving! :)

This week the Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Teams is introducing our newest set - Simple Sentiments. This set is designed to be a companion to our Everyday Greeting set - more versatile saying for your greeting cards. This set will be available for purchase starting tomorrow!

My first card for the sneak peek is quick and simple. I used Fiskars Upper Crest edge punch on the bottom of the white strip and the baby carriage from Simple Charmed is cut at 2.5". I used Peach Keep Everyday Character Faces for the little guy, then added just a touch of chalk on his cheeks. Who doesn't just love a little chubby, rosy baby face! :)

I hope you liked my easy card - be sure visit the other Design Team Members for more Simple Sentiment sneak peeks! They are listed on my right side bar.

Oh... and we are having a Thanksgiving special starting tomorrow (11/25) through Sunday (11/28) - FREE SHIPPING on all orders. :)

Have a wonderful day!

The Gift Giving Season Has Started! :) ** Info Update!

We had the last meeting for the year at my MOMS group so I made little gifts for all the ladies at my table. I started off making a cute little fall-themed project I saw on Greenbean's Crafterole (if you haven't visited her before take a few minutes for look around - she's awesome!! ) - soap leaves! Then I made some homemade caramel corn (Yum!) and put it in these cute little holiday buckets with the recipe on top.

Last, but not least, I made little angel Christmas tree ornaments from butterfly paperclips. YES, PAPERCLIPS! I saw this idea on line while looking for a craft project for my Brownie Girl Scout to do with her troop at their Christmas party.

You use ribbon, one paperclip, one round silver bead, and one decorative spacer bead for the halo. I made this tiny (3.5"x 2.5") card as my delivery method. I was going to make a box but I figured this would do double duties as greeting card. I punched the side with Fiskars Apron Lace border punch and punched a hold for the end of the ribbon to fit through. I taped the tail of the ribbon the the inside cover of the card and lined the other side with white cardstock so there would be contrast behind the punch. The "You're an Angel!" stamp on the front and the "Sending you Christmas blessings" stamp I used on the inside are from our Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set. ** Just wanted to share a little hint in case you want to make these little ornaments yourself. The silver beads have pretty small holes since they are made for jewelry wire - I used a needle threader and pulled one side of the ribbon through 1st, then put the needle threader back in and pulled through the 2nd side of the string. I tried to do them both at the same time but it was too thick. I didn't mind doing it twice, it's kind of therapeutic! LOL **
The ladies really seemed to enjoy their little gifts - hopefully, I can keep up the crafty gift production through the holiday! LOL
Have a wonderful weekend! See you next week when The Scrappy Moms DT will be introducing a brand new stamp set! :)

A Quick Share...

Hi, everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post about this AWESOME ink that I recently found at Joanns -

High-density Pigment Ink by Fiskars - it's made to go in their new Push and Print Stamp Factory but I have been looking for a REALLY GOOD black ink. I was thinking that I would have to order some Stampin' Up ink but I am TERRIBLE about waiting. Ya, just call me an instant gratification junkie! LOL

So I was browsing the stamping section and this caught my eye. I like my stamped images to be really dark black and most of the other ink pads I own come out just slightly (or in some cases, more than slightly) grey. So I used a coupon and hoped for the best.

I had to try it the second I got home and, Wow - it was very dark and crisp! Yippee.... then I looked at it again and realized that I had smeared it. What??? After playing around a few times I found out that "High-density Pigment" translates to "LOOOOONG drying time". Now, remember when I told you I was a "instant gratification junkie"? A long drying time doesn't sit well with me... so I whipped out my trusty heat gun and figured out that a good 10-15 seconds will set it perfectly! :)

Sure it takes an extra step but I LOVE that the stamps are so dark and clean - it's totally worth the extra few seconds.

So now that I have enabled a few of you, do you have any products that you LOVE? I'm always looking for a new favorite item to add to my list, so I'd love to hear from you if you do.

1st Christmas Card :)

Hi, everybody! I just wanted to share a Christmas card I made last week, I know - it took me a while to take the picture and get it on. LOL

The tree with the little birdie is from Winter Frolic cut at 4.3" on my Gypsy. I bought the background paper at Joann's but not sure of the maker. The stamp is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps Winter Wishes. :)

I put a little white embossing powder on the tops of the branches to look like snow and added a little bling with the crystal gems.

Hope you enjoyed my little card. Have a WONDERFL day!
