Exciting news to share!

Hi, Friends!

I am so excited to share a new adventure I'm starting - I have decided to join Paparazzi Accessories as an Independent Consultant!

For those of you who have never heard of Paparazzi here's the scoop.  They are a company based in UT that makes jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, earrings) and hair accessories (clips and headbands) that are ALL $5 +tax!  A friend of my from high school became a consultant and I bought a few items from her, which turned into a few more and a few more.  At that point I figured that I should probably sell it!  :)

I will be having FB parties every week and doing local home parties.  FB parties are so easy - all you do is add your friends to the party group and earn free pieces! If anyone is interested in hosting a party, you can email me for more info - Fabulousfivedollarjewelry@gmail.com

You can also shop my online Paparazzi store ANYTIME and have it shipped directly to you.  Here is the store link - https://paparazziaccessories.com/50706/.  Shipping is a flat rate of $5.95, unless you by $100 or more, then it's FREE.  :)

Paparazzi changes their inventory quickly so there is always new pieces to see - but that also means your favorites might sell out, so if you LOVE it - buy it now.  I learned the hard way - there are at least 4-5 pieces that I went back to buy and they were gone. :(

Here are a few of my favorite current pieces -

Did I mention that all the necklaces come with matching earrings?  See the circle inserts in the necklace photos above!

If you would like to see my current inventory (I do have a few pieces that are no longer available on-line) I am having a FB Launch party today (7/16) through tomorrow afternoon - like my FB page - Melanie's Fabulous Five Dollar Jewelry -  and ask to be added to the Party group and I will add you in.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Have a wonderful day!

Sparkly Birthday Wishes!

Happy Sunday everyone! :)

I made a new birthday card for my super cute 6 year old niece this weekend and I was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out!

Isn't it the cutest?!  Since Scrappy Moms is winding down I have had a little more time to play with different mediums and I re-visited colored pencils blended with baby oil.  I did a quick tutorial on this technique a while ago - if you would like to see it click HERE

I found this adorable coloring page on the internet and resized it in Photoshop.  I colored her lightly for an ethereal look and then cut her out.  I used 2 of my favorite cloud punches and pop-doted my little unicorn.  The rainbow was printed directly onto the card base.  A cute stamp from SMS Tiny Treasures stamp set (retired) and a few gems complete the look.

As it turned out it was perfect - her cake was a rainbow with My Little Pony Unicorn figurines on it!  :)

I hope you enjoyed my card and that you will stop by to see my other projects.

Miss Kate Cuttable DT Day!

Hi, everyone!  Thank you for stopping by to see my project for the Miss Kate Cuttables DT!

I made this card for my nephew's 10th birthday...

I use the Surboards file to create my card.

I stretched the sand piece so that it would cover the entire top layer.  I also used pop-dots on the sand layer to give it some dimension.  I really love how it turned out and I hope he will too!

Thank you for stopping by - please come back and visit soon.  :)

Memories of Christmas Past

Hi, everyone!

Thank you for stopping by to see one of my favorite projects for our Scrappy Moms Stamps Memories of Christmas Past showcase!  (Warning: LOTS of photos, so here we go...)

My favorite project is a Christmas planner - I still use it every year!  :D

In the 1st pocket we have covered notebook for writing down your present list. I wanted it to be covered from peaking eyes. :) In the third pocket there is a receipt envelope. This is just a legal size envelope that was sealed and then I cut about 1.5 inches off one side so that it fits well in the planner.

In the 2nd pocket I made a folder to hold my return address labels, labels I printed from my Christmas card list, and stamps. That way when I am ready to send my Christmas cards I can grab this folder and everything is ready to go!

In the last pocket I have notebook paper and a calendar on the front to help keep track of events and errands. I stamped different Christmas sentiments on the paper to keep in the holiday theme. I did three of each stamps so there is a total of 21 papers.

I also added a loop pen holder on the side because I NEVER have a pen when I need one! LOL I attached a long ribbon on the back side of the planner to keep it tied neatly together so it can easily fit in a purse. The total size is 7.5" x 4.75"

Here is one more shot of the planner open and filled.

Want to know the biggest secret? IT'S MADE FROM A 2-POCKET SCHOOL FOLDER just like this one...

I cut it down to 7.5" high and then folded each side in half - TA-DA, a pocket planner! Now just cover with paper and embellishments. :)

Hope you enjoyed my holiday planner - thank you so much for stopping by! Remember to stop back by the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog and leave a message listing your favorite project or a favorite technique for a chance to win a Scrappy Moms Stamps stamp set of your choice.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Tag it!

Thank you for stopping by to see my project for this weeks Terrific Tuesday Challenge with Scrappy Moms Stamps!  This challenge was to make a tag or use a tag on your project...

I made these tags for the Secret Santa exchange that we are having at my work.  We are doing 3 small gifts and one large gift for the week before Christmas break (I work at a school and we are only there Mon-Thurs).  I left the last tag blank under the "From" so we can write our names on the final day for the reveal.

The images are all from Miss Kate Cuttables, the "To" and "From" are on SMS Happy Mail stamp set, and the "Secret Santa" stamp is from SMS Christmas Cheer set.

I hope  you enjoyed my project and that you will come link up your tag project for a chance to win a Scrappy Moms Stamps set of your choice!
