Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Let's Go Nuts!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my TTC project for the week!

I decided to make a little tag - I thought it would be cute for a baby gift.  I used the peanut from Create a Critter and added a little tag.  I didn't want to use the hat so I just cut it off of the shadow layer.  I used my one of my favorite PKS for the face - Sweet on You Faces.  For my sentiment I used a stamp from SMS Life's a Circus set...

I hope that you enjoyed my project and that you will join us and link up a project for a chance to win a Scrappy Moms Stamps set of your choice.

Have a great day!

Introducing 2 New Scrappy Moms Stamps - Blast from the Past & Many Thanks!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!  Thank you so much for joining me to f the 1st day of Scrappy Moms Stamps July release.  My 1st project is from Blast from the Past...

My daughter and I are avid readers and seem to lose bookmarks left and right, so when I was thinking about a project I remembered this cute alligator from Create-a-Critter.  I used my Gypsy to weld a rounded rectangle to the shadow of the alligator to make the base and then added the layers.  I couldn't decide if I wanted to used patterned paper or not so I did both.  :)  I added tiny gems for a little bling.

Here is the full Blast from the Past photo -

The second set being released this month is Many Thanks!  I know that I never seem to have a Thank You card when I need one.  We designed Many Thanks to help you increase your thank you card supply.  :)

Thank you so much for stopping by - I will have more projects from these stamp sets all this week as will the rest of the Scrappy Moms Stamps DT (on my right side bar).

Have a wonderful week-end!

Sneak Peek #2 - HAPPY CAMPERS!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! :)

Today I am sharing a project made with our new Scrappy Moms Stamps Happy Camper set...

The scene and tent are from Campin' Critters, the fire is from Create A Critter, and the stones around the campfire are the small hole punch on the Crop-o-Dial. Note: I had to "trim down" the river to make room for my tent and fire. I took off about 1/4 of the river on the left side - I just cut it to match the original shape.

Here is the photo of the full Happy Campers set -

On a sad/frustrating note my red Cricut Expression died right in the middle of this card! I've only had it 19 months and, BAM, out of service! I have had several friends in the blog world warn about the 18 month cut off so Tammy and decided last month to buy new ones that we found on special on-line. They were the same price as we paid for ours almost 2 years ago so we figured better safe than sorry. Boy, was I glad we did - I was able to get it out of the garage and continue working. :)

Here's what mine did, just as a heads up... it started not finishing the cut, literally! There would be a 1/4 inch or so section that just wasn't cut out. Then is started "making" the cut without the blade dropping down to the paper. It would go thought all the motions and there wasn't ANY contact between the blade and paper. I thought it might be my gypsy so I tried just the cartridge and overlay but it did the same thing. :(

I hope you have better luck this weekend with your crafting! LOL

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge - CAC

Welcome! Today I am posting my project for the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge. This weeks cartridge is Create-a-Critter - yay, definitely one of my favorites!!

The card base is from Lacy Labels - I welded two of the images together, then created a slightly smaller label to nest inside. Then I cut the puppy and his bowl and bone. I decided to try my brand new PK Critter Faces stamps - I actually used to stamps. I wanted the bigger nose from one but really liked the mouth and "happy" eyes from another so I used both! LOL

The ribbon is from Michael's - when they had it on sale a couple of months ago I bought almost every color. LOL Now I have this ribbon in blue, red, pink, dark purple, lavender, green, orange and black. Whew!

The sentiment is from our Scrappy Moms Stamps Furry Friends set. :)

I hope you enjoyed my card and that you will join us for the challenge with your own critter creation!

Sneak Peek - Love Notes! :)

Hi, everyone! Thank you for stopping by today! I am so happy to show you my 1st sneak peek from the new Scrappy Moms Stamps Love Notes stamp set.

This is the adorable skunk from Create A Critter - I just love him! The only thing is that I wanted him to be black and white and he is NOT designed for these colors - LOL If I had cut all three layers his eyes would have been black just like his body so I only cut two layers and added little jems for his eye. I also wanted to use a Wobble and make him a "bobble-head". So I cut the head a second time and cut off the ears and hair on the bottom layer so you can't see them when his head moves. Here's a quick little video with him in action....

Thank you so much for visiting me today - I hope you enjoyed my little guy! Check back often I'm going to try to have at least 3 more projects for you this week. :)

Who doesn't love a Raccoon? :)

I just had to use this little guy from Create-a-Critter! I've been dying to use him and just couldn't figure out what kind of card he fits with... Then it came to me - HALLOWEEN! He comes this his own mask and everything. LOL

The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps
A Haunting We Will Go stamp set. And I used my white paint pen to do the doodling. LOL
This is also my entry into Christina's Critter Challenge. Check out the cute animals! :)

Hope you enjoyed seeing him as much as I did making him! :)

Have a Dino-mite Day!

Here is an easel card that I made today. I have been dying to use this little dinosaur - he's so cute. I'm not in love with the patterned paper that I used but I have a limited time to craft (called "nap time") and I wanted to get the project done. LOL

I used the Devine Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing folder for the background, the cuts are all from Create A Critter, and the sentiment is from our new Scrappy Moms Stamps Amusing Animal set.

Have a great Sunday!

Cow and Barn Shaped Card

Here is another sample card made with our new Amusing Animals Stamps. I created the shape of the card by welding the barn base (CAC) with a rectangle from GBS. I just think this little cow is sooo cute!

Thanks for looking! Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!

PS - Tammy has a new sample card on her blog as well - Scrappy Critters

Another stamp sample card - Cute Froggie!

Hello, all! This took me a little longer than I thought it would. My nephew gradutated from HS tonight - oh, were does the time go?!?!

I had started creating this card this morning and then visited Canadian Nickel Scrap'n. She was making a card for a card drive/donation that she saw on Desguised as a Grown-up. (Who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon - LOL) All kidding aside - fellow blogger Lisa from By Lisa C is sponsoring this drive for her sister, Jayme, who has terminal cancer. She is requesting cards with frogs because Jayme loves them so much. I know at that moment that this little guy had a new home as soon as I could get him done!

I hope that Jayme will enjoy him as much as I did making him. If you would like to participate in the drive click on the "By Lisa C" link above.

The stamps is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Amusing Animals stamp set.

Thanks for visiting! I will try to make more cards to see tomorrow if I can. :)

Here it is.... The 1st set of stamps!

Here is the image of the stamp set we have being produced. It is 4" x 8" - in case you want to get a better idea of how big the stamps are. Here are a couple of sample cards for you to take a peek at... (you can click on the picture to see a larger view)

I am trying to get at least one more sample done today - I will post it when it's done. Tammy is also making some samples to show you, so keep checking her blog - Scrappy Critters. I'm so excited - we love how they turned out.

When we come up with the final calculations for the price and how we will take orders I will do a post with all the info.

Create-a-Critter Squirrel Card - so cute!

Eventually I hope to make a card or project with all the critters on CAC, so I am slowly adding to my list. This one is the adorable squirrel and tree trunk (really? - LOL). The clouds are also from CAC - they are with the sheep & moon. The grass is the Martha Stewart grass edge punch - I love my edge punches! :)

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Amusing Animals stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed him! Thanks for visiting!

MPS - Green, Yellow & Brown Challenge

This is my entry for the My Pink Stamper Green,Yellow & Brown Challenge - I haven't yet used this cute little hippo from CAC for a card and just got this sentiment at Michael's so I though they would be perfect.

It's hard to see but I use the Martha Stewart grass border punch to make a strip of grass for her to stand on. She really is adorable with her sparkly flower, isn't she? :)

SSSC #66, Easel Card and a Blog Award....whew!

Heads up - there's lots going on in the post! :)

The 1st thing I'd like to share is a new card made with this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge . Here is the original sketch and my take on it...

The hedgehog is from Create a Criter (what else?) cut at 1.5" and the scallop and circle are from Mini-monograms cut at 3.5" and 3.75" in that order. (I know it sounds backwards but I didn't want a huge space between them and if I cut them both at 3.75" there was, so I made the scallop a little smaller - this is with the REAL SIZE DIAL OFF!)

The next thing is a card that my friend Tammy and I made together. We had seen several easel cards lately and decided to give one a try, here is what we came up with...

The cupcake (also from Create a Critter) is cut at 3" and the finished card it 4.25" x 4.25". The photo shows the card open, the pink strip and border are on the inside of the card. Let me know if you would like more detailed instructions on how to make an easel card. :)

And last, but not least, Shelley over at Heart String Designs gave me a Sunshine Award. Thank you so much Shelley - you rock! :) Please check out her blog when you have a chance.

I am supposed to sent the award on the five blogs that I enjoy and tell you ten things that I like. Hummmm... that is hard, there are so many great blogs out there! Ok, here are some newer (at least for me) blogs that I have found...
  1. Chubby Cheeks Things - this isn't a craft blog but I still think it's worth sharing! Kim does lots of reviews/giveaways on kid and mommy products. Check it out, I think you'll be glad you did!
I just listed 10 things that make me happy a few posts below, if you'd like to check it out click here. :)
I hope everyone enjoyed my newest creations, see you soon!

Easter Layout :)

I went to a crop this weekend and actually managed to get 2.5 layouts done! I finished this one when I got home. It turned out pretty cute - gotta love Create a Critter! LOL

I made the word jumble - "Easter 2010" - with my DS and Plantin Schoolbook.

Pink Stamper Challange :)

I decided to join this week's My Pink Stamper Challange. This is a color challange - you need to use pink, green and black. So here is my entry...

The poodle is cut from Create a Critter at 2.25", the lable is from Songbird and cut at 2.75".

Fish Bowl Shape Card - Create A Critter

I used my Design Studio to make a shaped card with the fish bowl cut. I use GBS for the bottom square part. If you are interested in the .cut file let me know and will will post it.

I embossed the fish with the argyle cuttlebug folder but I wish I had just left un-embossed - oh, well. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I used Stickles on the wave of the water and for little fishy bubbles. :)

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Amusing Animals stamp set.
