Better late than NEVER! Final Love Note Sneak Peek

Hello, hello! I totally forgot to put this on today - shame on me! It has been just crazy around here - my girls have both been sick, I have a sinus infection, we are doing sneaks peeks, setting up to sell Baker's Twine, my niece was in a play tonight and my hubby is now gone 2 nights a week for school. AARRGGHH!

Anyhow, here is my last Love Note sneak peek - I hope you like it!

The topper base and hearts are all cut from Lacy Labels. I was hesitent to get his cart but I have used it 3 or 4 times in the 2 weeks I had it! LOL I got the little heart treat bag from the $1 section at Target and it's filled with Hersey Kisses.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! If you haven't checked out our newest Terrific Tuesday Challenge, we'd love for you to come join us!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge!

Howdy! I'm so glad you could join me today for my Terrific Tuesday Challenge project.

This weeks cartridge is Sweethearts - you have until Mon, Jan 31 to link your project here. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members projects - they are so adorable! :)

I love this little card! In fact, I just might be giving it to my Hubby for Valentine's day (Shhhh - don't tell). I used Lacy Labels for the shape cut, Stickles on the little key and the large dots embossing folder from Sizzix. :)

I hope you enjoyed my card - thank you so much for visiting!

Love Notes - Sneak Peek #2

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! :)

Here's another Valantine's day card made with our new Scrappy Moms Stamps Love Notes set...

The card base is from Birthday Bash - it's hard to tell but the red edge of the card is actually the back. The striped paper is actually the front of the card and is about a quarter inch smaller on sides. I played around with the shape in my Gypsy - I wanted it to fit an A2 envelope and the original shape is only about 3" wide with that height. So I widend it till it was just about 4" wide. The little people are from Car Decals - which just came in the mail today! Can you tell I was waiting for it?! LOL

This is actually the second version of this card. I originally made the my little man blue - but he really didn't "blend in" well with the other colors. I tried to do two reds but the lightest red I had was still to similar too the darker color. So he wound up white and red instead. What to see the original blue man? LOL Here he is....

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today - be sure to visit the other Scrappy Moms Design Team members for more sneak peeks! :)

Sneak Peek - Love Notes! :)

Hi, everyone! Thank you for stopping by today! I am so happy to show you my 1st sneak peek from the new Scrappy Moms Stamps Love Notes stamp set.

This is the adorable skunk from Create A Critter - I just love him! The only thing is that I wanted him to be black and white and he is NOT designed for these colors - LOL If I had cut all three layers his eyes would have been black just like his body so I only cut two layers and added little jems for his eye. I also wanted to use a Wobble and make him a "bobble-head". So I cut the head a second time and cut off the ears and hair on the bottom layer so you can't see them when his head moves. Here's a quick little video with him in action....

Thank you so much for visiting me today - I hope you enjoyed my little guy! Check back often I'm going to try to have at least 3 more projects for you this week. :)

My FIRST Video! :)

Hello, everyone! I got a Bloggie camera for Christmas and am finally getting around to trying my hand with a video. I have a small tripod and a HUGE tripod but I think that I need to see if I can one right in the middle. LOL This one is a little too close to get a nice focus but I couldn't figure out how to set up the big one so that it wasn't too far away to get good focus on small details! ARRGGHH!

I have a new mission now.... find the perfect tripod.... find the perfect tripod! But in the meantime here is a quick demo of the Fiskar's Ink that I mentioned here. Let me know what you think, and if anyone has any words of advice about making video I'd LOVE to hear it!

*** The music you hear is from the Playlist at the bottom of my blog page. You can scroll down and click off the sound or pause the song if you just want to hear the video. ***

Thanks for waching! {{{ HUGS }}}

It's My Party Blog Hop!!

Welcome, welcome!! I'm so glad that you joined us for Alex's It's My Party Hop! I was so honored and excited when she asked me to be a part of the hop - thanks, Alex! :)

You should be coming from fabulous Scrappin_3deeschik - thanks Meighen for another great project! If you have lost your way you can always return to the beginning at You Had Me at Craft.

My projects today are re-usable buffet labels. I use the rectangular "top-note" cut from Lacy Labels to make the base and 2 layers. I used my gypsy to size them so the blown layer is a thin frame around the center section. The base layer is 3"x 2.41", brown layer is 2.66" x 2.14" and the center is 2.55" x 2.05". I inked both of the cream layers.

Next I used a Purple Cow laminator on all of the cards - I cut them out, leaving a thin border of the laminate. I love that little machine!

I wanted to show you a few options on how you could use them. The top 2 pictures show clear address labels and the bottom 2 are dry erase markers. Since the cards are laminated you can remove the labels or erase the marker and use them over and over.

I found the gold ornament photo/place card holders at Michael's after Christmas for $1.65 (6 of them) - what a steal. They are a little on the formal side so I went hunting for something for colorful and fun... then I found these little cuties! The Matryoska dolls (or Russian nesting dolls) are from Cost Plus World Market - I am giving away a set of them away as my blog candy! Just leave me a comment and a way to get a hold of you if you win. :)

Thank you for visiting me today - I hope that you are learning lots of new ways to use paper crafting for your next party! The next stop on the hop is the wonderful Nicole at Canadian Nickel Scrap'n.

Terrific Tuesday Challenges w/Scrappy Moms!

Hello, everyone! Today I'm showing a card that I made for the very 1st Terrific Tuesday Challenge. These are a bi-monthly Cricut cartridges specific challenge - hopefully, they will challenge and inspire you to use some of your "forgotten" cartridge. And, of course, we hope you have a great time playing along!

The cartridge chosen for this 1st week was Birthday Bash - so I decided to use this little doggie. In fact, he is the reason I had to break down and buy this cart - I love him so much!

The postage stamps is from Gypsy Wanderings but I did see that after my card was done that there is a postage stamp shaped card cut on Birthday Bash! Oh, well... maybe next time! LOL

The sentiment is from our Scrappy Moms Designers Choice stamp set - I think it matches perfectly! :)

Scrappy Moms Stamps will be doing a monthly drawing consisting of all the entries from both Terrific Tuesday Challenges. This month we will be giving away a brand-new, soon-to-be-released Valentines stamp set. Watch for sneak peeks from our design team soon. :)

If you would like to see what other members of the Scrappy Moms Design Team have created click here. You can also join us and link your project! We can't wait to see what you all come up with

Let's Celebrate Blog Hop!

HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! Welcome to 2011 - I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and CREATIVE year! :)

Thank you for joining me from Mary at Cardztv - isn't she fabulous!?
I was so excited when Joanna asked me to help celebrate her birthday month and blogaversary in the blog hop - THANKS JOANNA! :)

I have a layout to show you today. This is my oldest daughter's 9th birthday party...

All of the icons on the bottom are cut from Slumber Party, the "Top Note" is cut from Gypsy Wanderings, and the title is cut from Cursive 101 and welded on my Gypsy. I used a heart and butterfly icon stamp and Versamark ink to make watermark images on the left and right top sections of the layout - if you look hard you can see them. I'm not sure I like them - I pictured it differently but it's done! LOL (Please excuse the bad pictures - I was trying to finish this post while we have family visiting and didn't have time to do a lot of prep work.)
For blog candy today I am giving away your choice of Scrappy Moms Stamps sets. Just leave me a comment and a way to get a hold of you if you win. Also - I'd love to hear if you have a favorite New Years Eve memory. :)
Your next stop is the SWEET & WONDERFUL Momo - click HERE!
Thank you so much for spending your New Years with me - {{{ HUGS }}}!
