I made a new birthday card for my super cute 6 year old niece this weekend and I was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out!
Isn't it the cutest?! Since Scrappy Moms is winding down I have had a little more time to play with different mediums and I re-visited colored pencils blended with baby oil. I did a quick tutorial on this technique a while ago - if you would like to see it click HERE.
I found this adorable coloring page on the internet and resized it in Photoshop. I colored her lightly for an ethereal look and then cut her out. I used 2 of my favorite cloud punches and pop-doted my little unicorn. The rainbow was printed directly onto the card base. A cute stamp from SMS Tiny Treasures stamp set (retired) and a few gems complete the look.
As it turned out it was perfect - her cake was a rainbow with My Little Pony Unicorn figurines on it! :)
