Hello, all!
I have been working on this card for about a week - LOL. I really wanted to do a shape card and it just wasn't working out. So I put it away for a while - today I got it back out and finished it.
I made the base of the card in DS - it was a difficult shape to weld (in my opinion) since it isn't symetrical. So after playing and playing I welded it at the top. This meant that the leaf part of the card was "mangled" - lol. So I just printed the peach again and glued it to the front of the card. I use this technique with a lot of shape cards, it's great for when the weld "messes-with" the shape. I have included the side view so you can see the full light green base and the front of the peach. Let me know if you have any questions. :)
I used the peach from Just Because Cards, one of the tags from Once upon a Princess, and the sentiment if from our new Scrappy Moms Stamp Set Sweet Somethings. The base of the peach is embosses with the Large Dots embossing folder from Quickutz and the top layer with the Divine Swirls embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I also used stickles around the shadow of the tag for some sparkle. :)
Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

It looks great! Love the embossing and pattern papers!
Super cute! I love the colors and the embossing - EVERYTHING! I was working on a shape card the other day and was having the same problem...I think I am going to try your technique and see if I can get it to work! TFS!
really cute! congrats on your second set of stamps...you have to slow down coming out with them though, I can't order anything until after the 7th! ;o) then it's a new CC statement...there's a method to my madness!

Absolutely Adorable!!! XOXO Momo
Well done!! I've never tried a welded card from the top. Great idea!
Here's what I do with welding shapes that aren't symetrical: I create one image to the size/shape I wish to have it. Be sure to hit the weld key. I then copy and paste the image and hit the flip shape option for the SECOND image. Then I just slide the image over to one side (using just the side arrow). Now, when I cut the card, the sides that are the same shape will be together when folded. I hope this helps!
Super cute! I love it, sorry it gave you a hard time, my cricut has been a booger lately! lol ;p
This is really adorable! I love your embossing; I need to find that Cuttlebug folder!
very cute! I love the way it welded:3) ♥ Tam
