Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Patriotic Pride

Hi, everyone!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peak at my Terrific Tuesday Challenge project for this week....

I made a 4th of July bag for each of my kids (this is just one).  They each have some sparklers, Pop-its, spinning eye fireworks and some red, white and blue bubbles.  I tied the bag with glittery red and blue stripped ribbons, not to fancy as the bag will be ripped open the tossed to the pavement - LOL! The tag was made using Lacy Labels, the flag is from Stand and Salute and the stars are from Hannah Montana.  I used Scrappy Moms Stamps Yankee Doodle Dandy for the sentiment.  It's hard to tell but I also used some Stickles around the edge of the 3 small stars and on the doodled stars on the flag.  :)

Please stop by and play along with us at Scrappy Moms Stamps - show us your Patriotic Pride!

Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peak #2

Happy Father's Day!!  I hope all the dad's out there are having a great one! :D

Today I am sharing a present that my kids made for their dad...

When researching Inukshuks for our new Proudly Canadian set I discovered that people can make their own mini Inukshuks.  I thought the kids would have fun building some.  :)

We bought rocks at Michael's (note - after they were done we found that our Dollar Tree sells the same bags, oh well! LOL) and started planning our Inukshuks.  The hardest part is figuring out what glue will hold them.  The rocks are polished smooth so you can't use hot glue... we wound up using a combo of Super Glue and E6000.  The E6000 alone didn't work because to was too flexible and the rocks wiggled.  The Super glue also bonds faster.  Warning - they are VERY FRAGILE!  My little guy broke them apart twice.  I think that I'm going to do a little more research and see if I can find a better glue for rocks and re-glue these Inukshuks too.

Here are the individual figures and a close up of the card I made...

To make the card I typed up the Inuit definition and a few more philosophical meanings on Photoshop and then used a stamp from Proudly Canadian. I might poke around and see if I can find a better adhesive for rock - if I find anything I will update you all. :)

My husband loved his little Inukshuks!  I hope that you enjoyed seeing them too.  Have a great Sunday!

Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peek

Hello everyone!  I hope that your week has been great.  :)

Today I have a project that I made for my kiddos for next school year.  No... I'm not ready for summer to be over. Well, not entirely anyways.

I have always wanted to put notes in my kids lunch and just never got around to making some.  So when we designed our new Mom's Diner stamp set I knew that I had to get my butt in great and make some!  Here are all 8 cards and the full stamp set photo ...

I found these cute clip art files and created a border in Photoshop - printed them out on cardstock.  After I cut and stamped them I use yellow mats to finish them.  Now I just need to add a little handwritten note on the back (like, "I love you!", "Have a wonderful day!", "I'm so proud of you!" or "Good luck on your test") and they are ready to go!

I will be posting more projects from Mom's Diner and our other June release, Proudly Canadian (see below), during the week - please stop by again!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Father Day

Hi all!  Sorry this is up so late - it's been one of those weeks already.  LOL

Anyway, here is my project for this weeks Terrific Tuesday Challenge...

I made my little shirt by watching this video.   I cut my paper at 5" x 7" instead of 4" x 6" for this project. The card base is from Lacey Labels and the cute little tie is cut from Simply Charmed.  I used a PKS face on the know of the tie - isn't it CUTE?!  The sentiment is from SMS The Charmed Life.

Please come by and play along with us and be sure to check out the other Father's Day projects from our great Design Team! :)

Disneyland Spring Break Layout :)

Hello, everyone!

I wanted to share a layout I just recently completed...

I had LOTS of pictures so I created the "film strips" with allowed me to use 20 small photos along with the 6 main ones. The small photos are about 1.5 x 3 so their not too tiny.  :)

I used my MTC to create the "Visiting" with a shadow for the tile, the Mickey was designed on my Gypsy with Mickey Font.   I also cut the Mickey hat shapes from Mickey Font.

For the tags I used Lacy Labels and stamped them with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps Picture Perfect stamp set

I know the background paper isn't traditionally "Disney" but I wanted something other than just red and black and I found this cute green paper at Joanns and thought it would work.  Now I have 2 more to make for my other kiddos.  LOL

Thank you for stopping by today - I hope you enjoyed it!
