Miss Kate Cuttables Design Team Day - You're My Favorite Superhero!

Hi, everyone - thank you so much for visiting me today!

For my day over on the MKC blog I made a set of cards....

For my cards I used MKC Superhero and Supergirl files - I think they are so cute!  I did my own version of a print and cut (someday I WILL get the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition!).  I found the image of the superhero postage stamps online.  I lightened them a little so my heroes would stand out.  I used the Quikcuts Polka Dot embossing folder on the yellow paper and the Darice clouds folder on the blue paper.  For both of my cards I used the same sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps Fan-tastic stamp set.

Here is a close up of the boy card - you can see the postage stamps better - I think they are so cute and vintage looking.

Better late than never, right?

Hi, everyone!  :)

I intended to have this published last week but things don't always work out the way you hope. I created the MTC file for this next project and when I went to cut it the file was corrupted!  I had to recreate it and just didn't have time to get it done til today...

The card is from Miss Kate Cuttables Chocolate Birthday Cake file - I welded two shadow layers together to make a base.  Then I cut another shadow layer for the top layer of the card (the white part).   I shortened the green frosting layer a little so that I could fit my stamp from Scrappy Moms new Fan-tastic set in below it. Here is the full set...

Next, I cut my little zombie - I wound up having to draw in his scar... my Cricut wouldn't cut the thin lines.  :( He is pop-doted on top of the cake, doing his little jig.  Finally, I added some Stickles to the stars/flames on the cake.

Scrappy Moms Stamps - April Sneak #2

Hi, again  - can you believe it, two days in a row?!  LOL

I have another project to share from our Scrappy Moms Stamps April release...

If there are any Breaking Bad fans out there you will understand the references!  My husband is a huge fan and we faithfully watched this show every week. Truth be told, I enjoyed it more that I thought I would when I first heard the concept.  :)

My Jesse (on the card on the left) is from SVG Cutttng Files and I created an SVG of Walter for the card on the right.  I wanted them both to use the color blue to refer back to the show - you know why - and I figured that I would be cheeky and add the blue rock candy as a prop.  (I know - naughty!) 

Both sentiment stamps and the beaker I used to make the background for Jesse's card are from Fan-tastic - here is the full set...
