Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Patriotic Pride

Hi, everyone!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peak at my Terrific Tuesday Challenge project for this week....

I made a 4th of July bag for each of my kids (this is just one).  They each have some sparklers, Pop-its, spinning eye fireworks and some red, white and blue bubbles.  I tied the bag with glittery red and blue stripped ribbons, not to fancy as the bag will be ripped open the tossed to the pavement - LOL! The tag was made using Lacy Labels, the flag is from Stand and Salute and the stars are from Hannah Montana.  I used Scrappy Moms Stamps Yankee Doodle Dandy for the sentiment.  It's hard to tell but I also used some Stickles around the edge of the 3 small stars and on the doodled stars on the flag.  :)

Please stop by and play along with us at Scrappy Moms Stamps - show us your Patriotic Pride!

Terrific Tuesday Chanllenge - Stand and Salute!

Good morning, all! Sorry this post is going up a little late today - we have had chaos going on in my house and I just didn't get to it last night! :)

This week's TTC cart is Stand and Salute - I don't use this cart nearly enough! It's got some really great cuts, hopefully this challenge will inspire you to take another look at Stand and Salute.

Here is my project....

I cut 2 of the top layers, one in red and one in blue. Then cut away everything but the "star field" on the blue. I use a small star punch and glued the stars going off the blue square, then cut off the overhanging parts. I used a stamp from SMS Yankee Doodle Dandy set and white embossing powder. It's a little off center on the blue card base but, darn, that ATG tape is unforgiving!! LOL

I hope that you will come and play along with us and link up your Stand and Salute project for a chance to win a BRAND NEW stamp set that won't be released until mid July! You'll be the 1st to own it! :)

Sneak Peek #4 - Thank a Soldier!

Another project using Scrappy Moms Stamps Yankee Doodle Dandy set today. I hope you like this simple card - with a big statement. :)

It was a VERY quick card to put together but I like how it turned out! The white base of the card is from Lacy Labels - can you tell I LOVE this cart? The tree is from Campin' Critters - the rabbit peeking out from behind the tree. I hid the contours of his hand on my Gypsy and then {heartlessly} cut him off the final cut. LOL I also cut 2 layers of the leaves, one a little smaller (which I popped up) to give a shadow effect. Of course, I HAD to add some red, white and blue bling for a little patriotic flair. LOL

I also stamped "Thank you for your Service and Sacrifice" inside and the kiddos and I are going to send the card to A Million Thanks for the troops. :)

I have one more card for you tomorrow to finish out the Sneak Peek Week (say that 5 times fast - LOL) - hope to see you then!

Sneak Peek #3 - Have You Hugged Your Hero Today?

Happy Monday!

I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day - which we celebrated today with a yummy lunch at Applebees! LOL :)

For this "simple" card I used a funky retro shape from Nifty Fifties, and Mickey/Minnie from Mickey and Friends. The heart and base are from Lacy Labels. The outside sentiment is from our new Scrappy Moms Stamps Yankee Doodle Dandy set and "Happy Fathers Day" is from SMS All in the Family.

I guess I have Mickey on the brain since coming back from Disneyland! I saw this cute cut and had to use it - LOL! :)

Thank you for stopping by today - I hope you had fun! {{{ HUGS }}}

Sneak Peek #2 - Little Sparkler

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!! :)

Yesterday was my little guy's 3rd birthday party (today is his actual birthday) so I didn't get a chance to get this project finished and posted - sorry for the delay.

Today I have a little something that I made for my kiddos to use on the 4th of July...

I bought a six-pack of sparklers and divided them so each kid will have two boxes. I used a solid strips of cardstock and a stip of patterned paper to create the wrappers. (I just eyeballed them so I don't have any measurments for you, sorry!) After I put them directly on the boxes the pattern on the box looked too busy so I slipped a matching piece of paper under the wrapper and added some stitching. :)

I used red/white gingham ribbon to tie a little bow and added 3 little stars I punched out on top of the knot. A little Stickles adds some bling! On the tag I used "Little Sparkler" from Scrappy Moms Stamps new Yankee Doodle Dandy set and "For my" from SMS All in the Family set.

Hope you enjoyed my little project for the day! Thank you for stopping by!

Two New Scrappy Moms Stamps Sets!

Happy Friday! Today we kick-off the release of 2 new Scrappy Moms Stamps sets. Yippee! :)

Here is my 1st project for the week....

The little avocados are cut from Preserves - I skipped the base layer on the little guy and cut off his leaf. The base is from Lacy Labels, I welded 2 together and cut a third one so that the top arch wasn't flat. The cream square is embossed 3/4 of the way up with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Can you tell I'm addicted to this sheer, striped ribbon from Michaels? It's sparkly and I bought a roll in EVERY color - your sure to see it often. LOL I used PKS Everyday Character Faces and the sentiment is from our new SMS Good Eats set.

The second set we are releasing is Yankee Doodle Dandy...
